Laughing Jack is a former resident of Creelles Town that was possessed by Zalgo's Disease and is encountered in the Theater. He is later seen at the Abandoned House as a primary Creepypasta and demon.
Creepypasta Land[]
Day 04[]
The Protagonist and Ben enter the Theater and encounter Squidward Suicide and Buried Alive, later finding Sally in her room playing with Laughing Jack, who taunts Ben for being nearly corrupted by the Creepypastas in the Theater. Ignoring his teasing, Laughing Jack turns invisible, allowing the party to argue amongst themselves before pledging to Sally that they will be friends forever, teaming up to explore the rest of the Theater. Laughing Jack again taunts the party again if he is interacted with, asking if they are afraid of things they cannot see.
Later that night, the Protagonist has a nightmare in which he is chased through a massive circus while Laughing Jack laughs maniacally at them.
Day 05[]
Entering the Abandoned House in an attempt to stop the curse on Creelles Town, the Protagonist faces his fears, encountering Laughing Jack in the 5th and 8th stage.
Lost Scenes[]
Bloo Dee is invited by his master Jin Hauzer to his home to view a show put on by Laughing Jack, who admires Dee's confidence and strength of heart. Years later, Dee returns to the Theater to commemorate Jins death and informs him that he and the rest of the party where able to successfully banish the curse from town. Dee shares his sorrows about the past with Laughing Jack before saying his good byes, finally sealing Laughing Jacks soul.
Evasion Strategy[]
During the nightmare, the Protagonist will have to navigate a looping circus to get to a hexagram on the floor. It is recommended to avoid the outlines of the tents that will act as obstacles, keep Laughing Jack on screen and to avoid heading left or right too far, as this will bring the player to the other side of the screen and likely closer to Laughing Jack. Unlike the other nightmares experienced by the Protagonist, this one will prove fatal if the they are to be caught, experiencing a heart attack in their sleep.
Trivia[]
- Laughing Jack has a genderbent doppelganger similar to Jeff the Killer with Nina the Killer, named Laughing Jill. In Creepypasta lore, both Jack and Jill were jack in the boxes created by a guardian angel and given to children. (Laughing Jack to Isaac Grossman, and Laughing Jill to a girl named Mary respectively.) However, Laughing Jill contrasts Laughing Jacks random killings with only the murder of abusive parents.
- The Ghost attack and Circus are the only areas encountered that feature a looping screen.
