Slender

Slenderman is a reoccurring Creepypasta and Demon that first appears on Day 2 in Creepypasta Land. He is the second Creepypasta encountered by the party in the game.

Creepypasta Land[]

Day 02[]

Heading into the Forest, The Protagonist and Ben encounter the Slenderman after being warned by a Mysterious Girl. Making a run for the Forest House, the two are saved by the Mysterious Girl who has casted a ward to keep the Slenderman out, revealing to the party that what they where chased by was a Creepypasta, a character from online horror stories.

Day 03[]

After the Tails Doll breaks out of the TV while attempting to see if Creelles Town is haunted, Slenderman makes an appearance, preventing the Protagonist from leaving the bedroom hallway.

Day 05[]

Obtaining the Gold Medal and confronting the Creepypastas that have manifested in the shape of their true fears, the Protagonist is chased by the Slenderman through a boss rush in the second and eighth rooms before the Protagonist is able to obtain the Absolute Holy Power, banishing the curse and the demons from Creelles Town.

Evasion Method[]

The player will encounter Slenderman in the forest, which both acts as a hindrance and an advantage. While the player has to navigate their way through the small forest with Slenderman slowly gradually gaining on them, the trees and various foliage can act as an obstacle. Slenderman will act similarly when being encountered a second time, in the "boss rush."

Trivia[]

  • Despite popular belief, Slenderman is not actually a Creepypasta character. He originated on an Image Board on the SomethingAwful forums, which spawned two main line video games, a movie and blown out of proportion with a court case.
    • Slender: The Eight Pages would spark the initial introduction to the iconic image of Slenderman, and would also go on to be the most renowned and memorable video games of the time, despite it being frowned upon in the modern gaming sphere.
    • Slender: The Arrival would continue the original story and follow-up to the creation of the Slenderman Creepypasta and its lore. Although it was generally considered amazing at the time, gameplay mechanics became tedious and it was shortly forgotten.
    • Slender Man Stabbing was a court case blown out of proportion by the two girls, Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyse, that would attempt to lure their friend Payton Leutner and stab her to death in order to "Appease the Slenderman." Payton would survive this encounter however, with Anissa and Morgan being found not guilt by charge of mental disease of defect.
    • The Slenderman would later be portrayed in a movie adaptation several years after the initial success of the original games which did not follow the original storylines of the Slenderman Case, or any of the games. The movie was ironically considered a flop, and is not considered favorably among fans.
  • A bonus Yu-Gi-Oh! Card can be collected in the MV edition of Creepypasta Land from Ichiro called "Splenderman", also known as Splendy. He is depicted as a parody of the Creepypasta genre as well as Slenderman's older, nicer brother with a visible face.
  • Slenderman moves in game, and ironically in the 2018 Slenderman movie, both of which go against modern depictions of him. Interpretations of the Slenderman see him stand motionless, teleporting around whilst the player isn't looking at him directly.
